While on the console of my Cisco 871W, I took the USB flash drive from my pocket. Show usb driver; show usb. Have you used a USB flash drive with your Cisco.
I noticed there's a mini USB port on our C3750X switch labelled as 'Console'. I used my Samsung (& Nokia's as well) phone's mini USB cable to plug into this port on the switch with the other end of the USB cable plugged into my Win XP SP3 laptop Windows reported Cisco USB/serial cable detected & prompted to install the driver.
My laptop is connected to the internet but after searching for a while, it could not find/install any driver. Without any driver installed, I got a blank screen when I used a terminal emulation software (putty) to connect to Com3: Typing 'at' or 'atdt' returns OK but I don't get the usual Cisco IOS or CatOS response. Where can I get this driver or what do I need to do to be able to console into the switch using the mini USB console port?
